Belton picnic area car park.
Take A161 Gainsborough from M180 junction 2. Go straight through Belton on the A161 heading for Epworth. The picnic site is clearly seen on the right just after a bend.
From the car park- cross the main road towards Belton, walk up a grassy rise to a gate. Follow the path along the disused railway line.
Follow the railway line through several gates, past a housing estate and car park on left until you meet Jeffrey lane.
Turn left onto Jeffrey Lane until you meet the main road, cross over then turn right.
In a few yards a farm lane is seen on the left. Take this lane, which soon becomes a farm track and go straight on (ignoring a farm track and then a footpath both going left.) Ignore a wide track veering to the right. Follow our track round a left hand bend past some houses and North Croft kennels on the left. You are now on a stony surface.
At a farm, follow the stony track round to the left which soon bears round to the right heading South towards the buildings of Churchtown.
Just before the buildings turn right down a lane towards Goose Pitts Farm.
Immediately before the entrance turn left following Cuppressus trees round the boundary and down to a road. This is Carrhouse Road.
Turn left, walking carefully along the road to a bend. Cross the road and follow a signed footpath which at first follows field headlands and eventually becomes a good wide track.
Allow between one and one and a half hours.
