Reading groups in North Lincolnshire

Information on how to set up a reading group in North Lincolnshire. Find out how we can help you and what reading sets are available for free to registered groups.

Reading groups

The library service offer the following:

  • free extended loan of books – all local reading groups can register for a library card to use for their loans, which offers them an extended loan period
  • delivery of books to any North Lincolnshire library – we can arrange to send sets of books to any North Lincolnshire library, for convenient collection by your group.

Search for a book for your group

Not sure which books you would like to choose for your group? Try searching in the table below. In the search box, start typing the name, title or genre of the book and the table will produce a list of results.  Click on the ‘plus’ in the end column to read a short precis of the book. Once you have decided which book you would like to order, please complete the form above to request the books and arrange collection.

Groups open to new members

Some local reading groups may be open to new members. Please note that this information is provided to us by the groups and is liable to change.

  • The Pollinators meet monthly on Monday evenings at 7.30pm (various venues in the Brigg area)
  • Read It and Rabbit meet in Scunthorpe Central on the first Tuesday of the month at 2pm
  • Normanby Book Club meet at Normanby Hall Country Park monthly on Wednesdays
  • The Thursday Book Club meet in Scunthorpe Central on the first Thursday of the month at 10.30am
  • Brigg Borrowers meet in Brigg Library on the second Friday of the month at 1.30pm.
