The Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council operates a voluntary car service. The aim of the service is to provide a safe, reliable and affordable voluntary transport service to residents of rural North Lincolnshire with genuine transport difficulties. We have approximately 90 volunteers across North Lincolnshire who use their own cars to provide transport for people for things like health related appointments, shopping or social outings, local or long distance.
Transport can also be arranged for hospital appointments at Castle Hill, Hull Royal Infirmary and other hospitals in Hull.
The booking line is open Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 12pm. The telephone number is 01652 637700. (Answerphone facility outside of office hours)
The service is always looking to recruit more volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles to transport passengers to meet a range of needs.
Typical journeys include:
If you could only spare an hour a month it would make a difference to someone’s life.
