Ivan Glover was today elected the 17th Mayor of North Lincolnshire at the annual Mayor-making ceremony at the Civic Centre in Scunthorpe. Cllr Peter Clark is the new deputy Mayor.
They replace Keith Vickers and Ivan Glover respectively. Ann Glover, Ivan’s wife, is Mayoress.
Ivan has served on North Lincolnshire Council since 2003 and represents Broughton and Appleby ward.
Ivan was born in Broughton and has been married to Ann for over 50 years. They have two grown up sons, David and Alan, and four grandchildren.
He is also a councillor on Broughton Town Council and has had the honour of holding the office of Town Mayor three times.
Peter Clark will support Ivan in his Mayoral duties. Peter represents the Ferry Ward. Carol Clark, Peter’s wife, is his Mayoress.
Peter was born and educated in Brigg. He was a councillor on Glanford Borough Council from 1991 to 1995, and served on North Lincolnshire Council from 1999 to present. He worked for Total Lindsey Oil Refinery for 31 years, and is now retired. He is also Chairman of Barrow Parish Council and Chairman of Barrow Playing Field Committee.

Ivan was a local government officer for 46 years. Half of that time was spent as Clerk of an Urban District Council or as Chief Officer/Chief Executive of the Isles of Scilly Council.
