The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Ivan Glover, will present school children who entered competitions as part of Food Safety Week, with their prizes at the Civic Centre in Scunthorpe on Monday 23 July 2012.
North Lincolnshire Council’s Food Safety Team visited 11 schools and gave presentations about good hygiene along with demonstrations and other activities during food safety week (11 to 15 June). More than 500 attended the presentations.
During food safety week, children in Foundation Year up to Year two were invited to enter a competition to draw a healthy plate of food. Over 200 entries were received.
The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Ivan Glover, will present the winners with their prizes – Toys R Us vouchers.
