North Lincolnshire Council has organised a whole range of gaming events to keep youngsters entertained during the school summer holidays. From Pokemon Masters 2012 to Lego Library Land and Dangerous Dungeons and Dragons - there’s something for everyone.
North Lincolnshire Library, Scunthorpe:
Game On! - Monday 30 July to Saturday 4 August 2012
For anyone aged eight years plus and interesting in gaming. No need to book, just turn up between 12 noon and 4pm. Each day will feature a different gaming activity and materials are provided on most days. There’s Trading Card Crazy, Nintendo DS Link ‘n’ Play, Danger Dungeons and Dragons, and Abi’s Art Attack, Lego Library Club, and Pokemon Club.

Super Sonic! - Monday 13 August to Thursday 23 August
For anyone eight years plus and interested in Sonic games. Cost £2.50. Previous similar events have been fully subscribed so contact the venue to buy tickets in advance. A fun gaming tournament event in the usual style featuring mixed Sonic games on the Wii, Xbox and Gamecube. Prize - genuine anniversary edition Sonic fleece hat that is currently selling on Ebay for £29.99.
Ashby and Barton library
Pokemon Masters 2012 - Monday 20 August and Wednesday 22 August respectively
For anyone aged eight years plus and interested in Pokemon games. Cost £2.50. Previous similar events have been fully subscribed so contact the venue to buy tickets in advance. This was the first gaming activity held in libraries and a subsequent events and due to its success are holding another event. The event comprises a DS Black and white prize battle tournament, a card prize tournament, Super Smash Brawl on the Wii, a quiz and Pokemon board and console games. Pokeman gift bag for all attendees.
