The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Ivan Glover, will open a brand new BMX track at Sheffield Park in Scunthorpe on Wednesday at 3.30pm.
Also on Wednesday, the Mayor will raise two green flags at Woodlands Crematorium and Kingsway Gardens - awarded to the council by the Woodland Trust.
The Mayor will also judge six gardens (Scunthorpe, Burton, Appleby and Broughton) as part of the 2012 Best Kept garden competition.

“To be awarded two green flags yet again is a wonderful achievement and shows national recognition at the highest level.
“The BMX track will I’m sure be welcomed by many youngsters eager to get out on their bikes and have a good time, now that the school summer holidays are about to start.
“We have many enthusiastic gardeners who are committed to making their gardens look attractive and the competition is a great way to recognise this.”
