Businesses are invited to inspire school pupils, students, young jobseekers and their parents at a jobs and careers fair in October.
North Lincolnshire Council is organising the fair to give businesses and other employers the chance to capture the imagination of our future workforce and show the opportunities that are open to them.
The theme is ‘you can be whatever you want to be’ and almost 70 organisations have offered to take a stand at the event so far.
The jobs and careers fair takes place at Forest Pines Hotel on Monday 8 October.
It is open to school pupils in years nine and 10 from 9am to 3pm and after that it is open to year 11 and college students, younger job seekers and parents.

Cllr Liz Redfern, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said:
“We’re staging a jobs and careers fair to help raise aspirations among our younger population and show them the opportunities that exist in North Lincolnshire.
“Many thousands of new jobs are coming to North Lincolnshire with the colossal investment in the South Humber Gateway and the Humber Renewable Energy Super Cluster Enterprise Zone.
“Able UK is investing £450m in its Marine Energy Park and a further £100m in a port-related logistics park.
“These projects alone will generate about 10,000 jobs across two sites.
“We’ve also just given three companies a share of £2.7m from the Regional Growth Fund to create at least 136 jobs in our area and generate more than £14m of investment in North Lincolnshire.
“October’s event is a valuable opportunity for businesses and other employers to meet their future workforce and discover the wealth of talented, hard working and inventive individuals who will soon be knocking on their doors as they search for work.”
