Our youth sport programme

Our youth sport programme provides a diverse range of multi sport opportunities across North Lincolnshire for young people aged eight to 19 years old (up to 25 with learning disability). With our partners we provide over 30 sessions per week.

The sessions provide a safe environment for young people to come along and get active, learn new skills, relax with friends and maybe make some new ones. The sessions are informal and multi sport based, with the emphasis being on fun, enjoyment and getting involved. This means that young people could be playing football, cricket or basketball one week and ultimate frisbee, street golf, rock-it-ball, street dance and many more activities the next week!

For those participants over the age of 16 we offer the opportunity to become a volunteer. This means the young person will gain experience and access to training to improve their skills. This is the ideal starting point for anyone wanting a career in sports coaching and leadership.

All the sessions are free, so what are you waiting for? Get involved today!

Please note that a parental consent form [PDF, 1Mb] is required prior to taking part.

On Target is a programme of free activities for young people aged between eight and 19. The activities available include football, swimming, rock-it-ball, street dance, DJ workshops and multi-sport.

The project aims to give young people the chance to take part in positive activities and develop new social and leadership skills. Opportunities are also available for young people to volunteer on the programme and take part in relevant training. Coaches from Scunthorpe United provide the coaching and leadership at the football sessions.

How to take part

You can take part by getting a parent or guardian to complete the parental consent form [PDF, 1Mb]. If you are 18 or 19 years old you can complete the form yourself. You can pick one up at your first session. This must be completed to enable the young person to take part.
