Back2Sport is an innovative project that delivers accessible sport and physical activity opportunities across North Lincolnshire. It is a project that looks to enable adults to take part in the sports they want, when they want and where they want.
The Back2Sport programme consists of a wide range of fun and social sporting activities that are designed to appeal to adults and get them more active. The project has a mobile team of Activators that will travel throughout North Lincolnshire delivering the activities.
Have a look at the timetable to find out what activities are taking place.
We also work closely with communities to develop volunteers to deliver sustainable activities within their area. Opportunities include: Jog Leader, Rounders Activator, and Nordic Walk Leader just to name a few. For further details of how to get involved in volunteering in Back2Sport contact Michelle on 01724 297280.
Parkrun is a weekly 5k, timed run, that takes place in Central Park every Saturday morning at 9am, meeting at The Pods. The runs are entirely organised by volunteers. It is free to take part in Parkrun; you just need to make sure you register on the Parkrun Parkrun website before you run.
You only have to register once, you will be given a barcode which you will need to bring along with you. A barcode timing system is used at the events to record your times. This software means that participants can have their results provided almost instantly, either on the Parkrun website or by text message.
If you would like to volunteer at Parkrun, email to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively contact Michelle Spacey on 01724 297280
