Home Assistance Policy

The council has adopted the Home Assistance Policy to implement the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Housing Assistance) (England and Wales) Order 2002.

This gives councils wider powers to offer help in any form to repair, improve or adapt homes.

The council has resolved that:

  • This home assistance policy be approved and adopted
  • Agreement be entered into with the Home Improvement Trust to enable home loans to be offered in North Lincolnshire
  • Agreement to be entered into with the Regional Homes and Loans Scheme (administered by Sheffield City Council) to enable home appreciation loans to be offered in North Lincolnshire
  • Home Assistance Policy 2011-12
