Application to use a site in the pedestrianised area of the High Street , Scunthorpe.

Applications must be received no later than 28 days before the proposed event.
 
Permission WILL NOT be given for activities of a commercial nature.

There are three main locations within the pedestrianised area:

1. The High Street itself (from the Central Library to Ravendale Street North).
2. The Foundry (uncovered).
3. Church Square.
 
 
Please note the following access restrictions:

1. Vehicular access/egress onto the high street is ONLY via Gillatt Street (Near Blarney Stone Pub) - other accesses are for emergency vehicles only.
2. There is only one site available for vehicles/structures of this nature - this is at the side of the HSBC bank.
3. Bollards are erected at 10.00am, therefore you are required to be on site before this time.
4. Bollards are removed at 4.00pm, therefore you will not be able to exit the site until this time.

North Lincolnshire Council shall not be liable to the grantees for any personal injury damages, loss or inconvenience howsoever or wheresoever caused to the Grantees or to any goods or chattels of theirs it being the intention of any agreed between the parties that the Guarantees shall perform the aforementioned activity at their own risk. The Grantees agree to indemnify North Lincolnshire Council against all such claims to the satisfaction of North Lincolnshire Council and to produce to North Lincolnshire Council.the policy of insurance and the receipts for all premiums issued thereunder.

The Council reserves the right to allocate a suitable site within the Scunthorpe Pedestrianised Area and to impose any conditions necessary to avoid obstruction to movement in the area.

It is normal policy of the Council to give permission only to non-profit making organisations.

The allocated site is to be kept tidy throughout the duration and upon departure. Failure to comply with this condition will result in the applicant being recharged for any corrective action considered necessary.
