An important feature of the Local Development Framework (LDF) system is making sure that everyone has an opportunity to get involved in helping to shape the future of their area. The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how this will be achieved.
A number of different options will be used to get as many people involved in the LDF process. These include articles in the council's Direct magazine and the local press. All consultation documents are made available at Civic Centre, Local Link offices and libraries (including mobile libraries) for you to view. Usually copies of representation forms can be obtained from these places.
The other key consultation method is the council's website. This page keeps you updated on what's happening over the coming months and what's currently out for consultation.

The council will still accept written representations and comments. These will need to be made on the appropriate forms, which will be made available to download online, or from Spatial Planning, Pittwood House, Local Links and local libraries. Once received, written representations will be entered into the online consultation system and made available for public viewing.
Where appropriate, we will produce summaries of consultation exercises, which will be made available as soon as possible following the end of consultation periods.
