The Minerals and Waste Development Plan Document will set out how we intend to plan for the sustainable use and supply of minerals as well as the sustainable management and disposal of waste in North Lincolnshire over the coming years.
North Lincolnshire is required to meet its portion of the national and regional supply of primary and secondary aggregates for the construction industry.
It will reflect the council's municipal waste strategy together with national and regional planning policy objectives.
The waste document will deal with all planning matters associated with waste management in the district. It may also seek to minimise waste produced from new development. However, it cannot revisit the council's municipal waste management strategy or determine its waste collection or treatment services. This means it cannot influence issues such as bin collection.
Work will commence shortly on the pre-submission stages of the document. For more detail, please refer to the Local Development Scheme.
