The Planning Committee is a group of councillors who meet
monthly to deal with planning applications and other related
business. This is under Town and Country Planning legislation. The
members represent both political groups on the council. This is in
proportion to the number of seats they hold overall.
Meetings take place at Pittwood House in Scunthorpe and at other
locations in North Lincolnshire. They are in line with a timetable.
This is published at the start of each municipal year.
Meetings are open to the public. The local press is usually
present.
