Validation checklists - national and local requirements
The checklists were adopted by the council on 2 May 2008 with an implementation date of 1 July 2008 and include both mandatory national requirements and locally specific requirements.

If your application involves affordable housing you must contact a member of the Strategic Housing Team on 01724 297429 before submitting your proposal. You will also need to complete the affordable housing proforma.
Planning application fees
To avoid delay with the processing of your application please check that you are sending the correct fee. You can view full details of Planning fees [PDF] (50K) here.
Please note that planning fees are set to rise nationally by 15% on 22nd November 2012. Further information can be found on the planning portal site
Site Location Plans
Every planning application needs a site location plan and block plan showing the location and boundaries of the site you are planning to work on. You can use the Planning Portal’s 'Buy a Plan' service to ensure that you meet our requirements, whether you are a planning professional or first-time applicant.
