Environment

North Lincolnshire Council collects nearly 100,000 tonnes of rubbish every year and has recycling rates well above the national average.

The council’s local plan aims to protect and improve the environment by concentrating development on brownfield sites. It also ensures that rural developments are in keeping with the character of towns and villages.

Advice is available to local residents on a number of environmental issues such as pollution, home composting and energy conservation.
