Skills for Life (English and maths)

Courses start again in January!

Make an appointment about a skills for life literacy or numeracy course now!

Do you need to improve your skills to update your CV?

  • Do you need to develop new skills to help you get back into work?
  • Would you like to brush up your skills to help your children with their homework?

Then a skills for life course might be for you!

Skills for life qualifications are designed to help you develop the skills you use in everyday life, such as reading, writing or maths. They can also help boost your CV or move on to further study.

Contact your local adult community learning centre to arrange a confidential initial interview and skills check to find out your current level of skills. Morning, afternoon and evening courses are available at a variety of venues across North Lincolnshire. Classes range from entry level through to GCSE equivalent.

You can take a skills for life qualification if you:

  • Are over 16 years of age
  • Have left compulsory full-time education
  • Do not have an up to date English or maths qualification at level 2 (level 2 is A*- C grade at GCSE)
