Subject Details
This brief introduction will allow the learner to explore and
experiment with a variety of watercolour techniques – colour glazing, wet on
wet, pen and wash, the course aims to develop the learners’ creativity and
understanding how to use watercolour paints.
Course aim
With support and guidance from the tutor, learners will familiarise
themselves with resources, tools and equipment required for future creativity.
Learners with existing knowledge can develop further their skills. The aim is to
introduce the learner to different watercolour techniques and explore
experimental approaches to using watercolour.
Methods of assessment
Photographs
of work and an Individual learning plan will be used to record learner progress
and achievement. The course tutor will provide guidance and feedback relating to
progress and achievement.

Requirements for the session
Please bring with you any materials that you may already own such as
pencils, watercolour paper, brushes and paints. Some materials will be available
for learners to use at the session.
