Applying for British Citizenship just got easier.
North Lincolnshire Council now offers a checking service for Citizenship applications.
The service is available each Wednesday.
We can make you an appointment to use the checking service. This will :
- Make sure your application is correctly filled in
- Check, certify and copy your documents so you can keep the originals whilst the application is processed
- Submit your application by secure post
Applications containing all necessary information tend to be resolved more quickly than those that are incomplete.

The fee is £48 for each adult application and £40 for each child under 18. This includes a non refundable fee of £20, which is payable when arranging an appointment.
The fees have been set in order to recover the cost of the Nationality Checking Service, not to generate revenue.
