The council and its partner agencies have established a flood forum to better deal with the threat of flooding in North Lincolnshire.
The main issues that the Flood Forum is concentrating on are:
- Gully cleaning
- Maintenance of ditches and dykes
- Maintenance of pumping stations
- Planning issues
The council has a database of around 450 key sites in North Lincolnshire. It has already taken action at some of these sites, or is in the process of taking action, and problems at some sites are yet to be resolved.
Council officers continue to respond to public enquiries. They investigate problems that are reported and arrange gully cleaning, jetting drainage systems and repairs where possible.
