What is Supported Lodgings?
Supported Lodgings is a way of providing a young person, between the ages of 16 and 25 years, with a 'stepping stone' placement whilst they develop the skills and confidence to move on into independent accommodation of their own.
Placements offer young people a room of their own, stability, a listening ear as well as practical advice and guidance.
The scheme offers vulnerable young people the opportunity to have somewhere they can settle, be happy and safe but with a degree of independence.
At the same time, young people will have the guidance and encouragement of a caring adult while they make the transition into adult life.
