The Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) offers an extensive range of safeguarding training to people working with children, young people and their families.
The LSCB has a training strategy that provides information on the standards and levels of training appropriate for staff working with children, young people and their families.
The Local Safeguarding Children Board training calendar lists the safeguarding children courses available during 2013/2014.
To apply for a place on one of the courses, please download, complete and return the booking form.

Introduction to Safeguarding Workbook
In response to consultation the LSCB has developed a work book which people who work with children can complete as a basic introduction, as part of their induction. The work book can also be downloaded and distributed to staff groups who do not have access to the internet and so cannot complete the on line course.

Safeguarding child victims of trafficking
If you are interested in undertaking on online course regarding safeguarding child victims of trafficking, ECPAT (End child prostitution, child pornography and trafficking of children) has an online course which you can access by visiting the ECPAT website and registering your details.
