LSCB Staying Safe Conferences

In March the LSCB held two Children Feel Safe Conferences, one for primary schools and one for secondary schools. The conferences were led and delivered by children and young people themselves and they were a unique opportunity for children and young people in North Lincolnshire to showcase the excellent work they are doing across schools and local colleges to keep each other safe.

The conferences invoked national interest from the Children's Commissioner and we were very proud of the work our schools are doing to empower children and young people in safeguarding themselves and each other. The information delivered by the children and young people has been captured on DVD and will be used to develop a stay safe toolkit for children and young people.

It is hoped that the DVDs inspire other schools, colleges and youth groups in developing iniatives about safeguarding children and young people and harnessing some of the excellent ideas and knowledge that children and young people have about how best this can be done. View the summary video here.
