Are children’s centres for me?
If you have children or are expecting a baby then the answer is YES!
The centres provide a range of universal services for all families as well as providing support tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
All families go through times where more help and support is needed. Children’s centres are there to support all families. They provide information, services within centres and other venues, support in the home, health services, behaviour management workshops and much more.
What do I need to do?
We ask all families using our services to register with us by filling in a registration form. This provides basic information such as name, address, children’s names and dates of birth. This allows the centres to monitor services, plan future services and access future funding. It also allows centres to send out relevant information to families.
Simply go along to any centre or phone any centre and ask to register. You and your family will be able to access services straight away.
Children’s centres in North Lincolnshire are part of the People Directorate Children’s Universal Prevention Services. The children’s centres work very closely with the Family Information Service who may also send out relevant information by post and via email to families registered with the children’s centres
