Welcome to North Lincolnshire Museum Service.
A great day out for all the family. Discover the stories of North Lincolnshire
through many interactive exhibits - become a nature detective in 'Go Wild',
step back in time in the Victorian ironstone cottage and relive the 'People's
War'. Climb the stairs to delight in the treasures of our archaeology gallery
and the award winning temporary exhibitions.
The museum displays draw on all of these collections, reflecting not only the
great changes in the region but also the everyday lives of ordinary people.
There is also an exciting courtyard garden to explore and a changing programme
of temporary exhibitions.
29 June until 19 September
School's out, gallery exhibition
There was no feeling like it, on holiday for six whole weeks. But why do we
have such long summer holidays? Were they for work or play?
Within this exhibition we take a look at your summer holidays past and present,
from the first excursions to the independent traveler. Hands on activities and
family fun.
Visitors
to North Lincolnshire Museum will get the chance to step back in time and explore
newspaper history in a new exhibition.
Newspaper Times
To
celebrate the contribution the paper made to the lives of local people, North
Lincolnshire Museum will display a range of photographs that appeared in the
Lincolnshire Times.
The
photos will depict villages in rural North Lincolnshire and also many photos
of Scunthorpe town centre buildings and parks.
The
exhibition will go on display at North Lincolnshire Museum from 6 July 2010
until 16 September 2010.
