Exemptions
Blue badge holders park for free when displaying a current badge.
Badge holders must display the badge when parking. When returning to the car park take both the car park ticket and badge to the warden office. The ticket will then be validated which will enable you to leave the car park.
Motorcyclists and cyclists can also park for free in designated bays.
Cyclists wishing to use a storage locker should request the use from a warden at the wardens office.
A warden will need a £1 deposit, and will then accompany you to the cycle lockers. The warden will open a locker for you to insert your items for storage. You'll then be given a numbered tag displaying the number of your locker.
You'll need to provide your name and some proof of identification to the warden.
On return you will need to again contact the wardens office and show your numbered tag and proof of identity. A warden will then accompany you to recover your stored items from the locker. You'll then get your £1 deposit back.
Please note: The storage lockers are for the the storing of cycling/motor cycling accessories only and cannot be used for longer than a 12-hour period.
Free three-hour parking for cinema users
Visitors to the cinema can have up to three hours free parking from 2pm daily on the condition that their entry ticket is validated at the cinema.
When visiting the cinema you should hand over your car park ticket for them to validate. This involves the ticket being inserted into a validator, which punches a small hole into the ticket. When your ticket is inserted into the pay station on return to the car park, this will adjust the fee payable accordingly. For example if you entered the car park at 2.30pm, visited the cinema, and left at 5pm, there would be no fee to pay.
Please note that if you enter the car park before 2pm there will be a charge of at least £1.20.
Faults
In the case of any fault, please advise the warden in the office, located at the Cole Street entrance, or press the help button on the pay station.
