Dog fouling

The council tries to secure prosecutions against irresponsible dog owners who do not clear up after their pets in public areas.

It is an offence for a dog owner to fail to clean up after their dog on all highways with speed limits of 40mph or less, footpaths and bridleways and grass and other verges adjacent to highways, footpaths and verges. This is under the North Lincolnshire Prevention of Dog Fouling on Highways and Footpaths Order.

  • Do you have any problems with dogs fouling where you live?
  • Do you know of any dog owners who do not comply with the Order?
  • Have you any idea what time of day the problem is occurring so that we could visit the area at the time?

If so, please let us know by contacting 01724 297000.

Any information provided will be treated with the strictest confidence.
