Below is the criteria the council uses to see if a person is eligible for the new free travel pass. We've also included what you'll need to bring along with you when you register in order for us to check your eligibility.
Please note that this is subject to confirmation by the council's cabinet in September.

| A man or woman aged 60 or over |
Retirement pension book or letter, birth certificate or passport.
A utility bill to you at your home address to show that you live in North Lincolnshire, unless your address is on your pension documents. |
A War Pensioner or: Receive Disability Living Allowance (Mobility Element) at the higher rate |
Take your benefit book or official letter of confirmation to either Scunthorpe Shopmobility or one of the Local Links. |
| Medically unfit to drive (This excludes people who have had their driving licence withdrawn because of persistant misuse of drugs or alchohol) |
Take to Scunthorpe Shopmobility or one of the Local Links a letter from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) refussing to issue or withdrawing your driving licence on medical grounds (DVLA letter D206 of D235) or: Apply to Scunthorpe Shopmobility or the Public Transport team for a Medically Unift to Drive application form. |

Unable to walk because of a long term disability or injury - you will normally:
- be unable to walk up to 100 metres without stopping, severe discomfort or help from another person or;
- use a mobility aid (such as a wheelchair, walking frame or crutches.)
