North Lincolnshire Council is responsible for over 600 bridges. There is an ongoing inspection programme where every structure is visited on a 27 month cycle. This ensures that each structure is visited in each of the four seasons, and thereby in varying weather conditions.
The inspections lead to the formulation of the Maintenance Programme, which is agreed with our Highways Alliance partners Clugston Construction. Once agreed the programme is issued to their dedicated personnel who work exclusively on bridge maintenance.
