Public Rights of Way
North Lincolnshire boasts approximately 320 miles of public rights of way. This gives walkers, horseriders, cyclists and off-road motorists unparalleled access into the local varied countryside. Largely, the legacy of our ancestors everyday activities, whether they were travelling to work, church, or friends in a neighbouring village, a new perspective of otherwise familiar territory may be gained by following in their footsteps.
The council provides:
- Signposts
- Waymarking
- Bridges
- vegetation clearance
This takes place during spring and summer. This is to help you, the user, maximise your enjoyment of our public rights of way.
To view a map of the area, visit our online maps.
Alternatively, you can get an Ordnance Survey Explorer Series Map. This is available from retailers. The maps show the different types of public rights of way across the area and where they run. Simply choose a route and explore!
