Car parks

The council operates two multi-storey car parks and 21 surface car parks in Scunthorpe, Ashby and Brigg.

All of these car parks have regular civil enforcement officer patrols and are covered by CCTV cameras.

The council's policy is to:

  • Charge for parking where it is economic to do so
  • Apply different levels of charges according to the needs and economy of each area.

The council issues a penalty charge notice (PCN) for improper use, or abuse, of the car parking facilities. This is to ensure that:

  • The car parks are used correctly
  • There is maximum availability of limited resources for other users.
