Improving communication with sensory impaired people

People with a sensory impairment are often faced with limited access to services. In some cases they are denied access altogether. The Disability Discrimination Act (1995) makes it a legal responsibility to ensure people have equal access.

The council has produced a booklet about communicating with sensory impaired people. The booklet is available to download below:
