This is a consultation document which aims to make sure our services are in shape to meet the demands from an increasing older population.
It is the result of joint work between service providers and commissioners, health partners, service users and carers and voluntary organisations. It draws together local policies and developments and is shaped by the National Service Framework for Older People. The principle of partnership working runs throughout the document.
While the strategy is a result of wide-ranging consultation, we are now keen to hear your views on the document itself.
The strategy was presented to the council's Cabinet on 3 December 2002.
