Service Offered:

- Money is given in place of arranging community care services, to provide a more flexible approach to service delivery.
- An assessment is carried out to determine whether the criteria for direct payments is met and the level of support that will be required.
- Money must be used to arrange services that meet assessed community care needs - it is not an extra income.
- Monies paid does not affect benefits as it is not seen as an extra income.
- Spending is monitored and a separate bank account is required for direct payment funds.
- Promotes choice and control -service user decides how their needs will be met, by whom and at what time.
- Support is provided throughout the process - Penderels Trust provides independent advice and support to direct payment users within North Lincolnshire.

- Adults over 18 years old.
- Disabled persons over 16 years old.
- Carers who have an assessed need, to assist them to continue in their role.

How to refer: |
- Referral for assessment to be made via the Single Access Point, telephone 08451 303862.
- If you are already in receipt of a care package via North Lincolnshire Council, then contact your care manager for advice and guidance.
