Hospice for adults

Adults' hospices provide respite and terminal care for people suffering from life-limiting conditions in a home-from-home environment.

Care is provided for the person and support to their family at no cost to them for as long as is necessary, including post bereavement support.

Hospices are usually run by charities. They organise fund-raising activities to pay for the care they provide.

You can ask your doctor, health visitor or social worker to refer you to a hospice, or you can contact the hospice yourself.
