Adoption and fostering
Thinking about adoption or fostering?
Taking time looking and researching about adoption or fostering is a first
step towards a rewarding challenge for some people. Thank you for making that
first step to help with a child's life.
Below are a few links to help you find exactly what you're looking for quickly,
otherwise just browse through at your own leisure.
Adoption is the legal process by which children, who cannot be brought up by
their own parents become a full permanent member of a new family.
Adoption is a lifelong commitment. Like all parenting it presents challenges
and difficulties some of which require preservance to work through. But it can
also be intensely rewarding as you see your child develop.
Fostering is a way of providing a family life for children who cannot live
with their own parents.
With fostering often the child will return home once the problems that caused
them to come into foster care have been resolved, and it is clear that parents,
or extended family members are able to look after them safely.
