Vulnerable adults procedures
The council and other relevant organisations have procedures for protecting vulnerable adults. These aim to help adults who are suffering abuse or inadequate care.
Abuse of vulnerable adults can happen anywhere, including:
- at home
- in a residential or nursing home
- on the street
- in the workplace
- in a day centre.
The procedures explain what to do if you suspect that a vulnerable adult is being abused. They also show you what happens next.
