Set up your council tax direct debit now

The council is encouraging people to set up direct debits to pay their council tax before annual bills are sent out.

Setting up a direct debit to pay your council tax is the easiest way to pay your bill and will ensure that your bill is paid on time.

Most people in North Lincolnshire pay by direct debit, as it saves a lot of time. You have the option of four payment dates; these include 1, 8, 15 and 22 of every month.

If you set up your direct debit now it will mean it’s in place for receiving your new bill in March and you will not need to contact the council again. If you leave it until after you receive your bill the instalments may change depending on the payment date you choose.

To start paying by direct debit, contact the council tax section on 01724 296093 (you will need to have your bank details to hand). The bank account will have to be in your name if you are calling to set up a direct debit over the phone. Someone else cannot call on your behalf with your bank account details.

You can also print out the direct debit instructions on the council tax pages and complete the form or email counciltax@northlincs.gov.uk
