Help improve housing across North Lincolnshire

A major study is underway in North Lincolnshire aimed at improving housing provision across the area.

The study - called a Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) - is a requirement set by national government and is being conducted by North Lincolnshire Council.

It will help ensure plans for new homes, including the housing type, quantity and location, are based on accurate information and meet the needs of local communities.

The council is working in partnership with specialist research companies GVA, rmg:clarity and Edge Analytics to produce the SHMA.

An important part of the study is a survey of homes across the area.

This will be done with letters, by telephone and online over the next few weeks.

The survey will ask about people’s housing situation and needs, both now and in the near future.

All respondents completing the survey will be entered into a free prize draw with the opportunity to win a cash prize.

The survey will be completely confidential and secure.

None of the completed questionnaires will be seen by the council or passed onto any third parties.

People have until 12 February to respond.

Further information is available on the housing pages of the council website or if you have questions about the SHMA call 01724 297000.
