Located on the B1398 Twigmoor is an area of native woodland and introduced shrubs, conifers and ornamental species.
These all create a rich and varied habitat for wildlife particularly birds such as woodpeckers, tree creepers and common warblers. Nightingales can also sometimes be heard in the springtime.

Visitors are requested to keep to the way marked paths through the woods and cars must be parked in the official car park. Dogs are allowed but must be under control at all times.
