A Night Less Ordinary is an Arts Council England scheme in association with Metro, which will provide 618,000 free theatre tickets to anyone under 26 in more than 200 venues across England. For more information about the scheme A Night Less Ordinary website.

As part of this ground-breaking national scheme, the Plowright Theatre aims to make free tickets available over two years to under 26-year-olds to encourage more young people to experience cultural opportunities.

How to get free tickets!

Tickets are limited so get yours fast! For more details contact the Box Office on 01724 277733.

The Plowright Theatre is offering a limited number of free tickets for performing arts productions from Tuesday 7 April 2009 to anyone under the age of 26. We hope this will encourage young people to come to the theatre who haven't been before or who are not able to come as often as they would like to.

There are no restrictions on the day of the week to attend, but there may be restrictions on certain productions - ask at the Box Office for details of available productions. Early booking is recommended.

  • Anyone under the age of 26 is entitled to request tickets through this scheme. Parents may request tickets on behalf of younger children, but we will need to take the child's date of birth. A registration form must be completed first to join the scheme
  • You can book a maximum of two free tickets at a time, but we will need to see some proof of age from the other members of your party as they also will need to be under 26 years of age to qualify for the free tickets. Other tickets booked will be charged at the applicable rate
  • Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Tickets are limited and therefore subject to availability
  • Tickets will be reserved and will not be available to be collected until the day of the performance. Tickets must be collected at least 30 minutes before the start of the performance. Any tickets not collected at this time may be resold
  • Photographic proof of age will be required when collecting tickets for those aged 16 to 25-years-old.'If proof of age is not provided, free tickets will not be issued
  • North Lincolnshire Council's Plowright Theatre reserves the right to limit availability on productions as appropriate
  • Free tickets cannot be claimed retrospectively, ie, if tickets have already been purchased, refunds cannot be claimed and free tickets offered in their place
  • North Lincolnshire Council reserves the right to refuse applications for free tickets to anyone who cannot show proof of age or anyone who we believe to be taking an unfair advantage of the scheme
  • A parent consent form must be completed for under 18s joining the scheme
  • Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult
  • Tickets are not available on school and group bookings
  • The Plowright Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission.
