About Normanby Hall
The Sheffield family were once the Dukes of Buckingham and owners of Buckingham Palace. They built Normanby Hall as their country seat with entertaining in mind. Designed by the celebrated architect Sir Robert Smirke in 1825 the beauty and grandeur of the Hall still impresses guests.
Normanby has hosted many weddings and family celebrations for the Sheffields. Your guests today use the rooms they and their guests enjoyed. In 2002, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and His Royal Highness Prince Phillip enjoyed a luncheon prepared and served by our staff here at Normanby.
Normanby Hall is the most prestigious wedding venue in the area. It offers you the chance to enjoy the grandeur of your own stately home for the day.
The personal touch
We believe that your wedding should be a very special day in your life, and that's why our wedding advisors will work with you to plan the day in every detail. Our extensive choice of menus can be tailored to your own needs, including vegetarian and special diets. Everything is prepared to the highest standards and we have a well-stocked bar and comprehensive wine list.
You can also take advantage of our unique bridal changing room, used as a rest room by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Once Sir Berkeley's cloakroom, it retains its original marble and mahogany fittings.
Normanby…. a photographer's dream
The 300 acres of parkland and landscaped gardens surrounding the Hall offer a superb backdrop for the photographs of your special day. Inside the Hall, the sweeping main staircase and elegant period furniture ensure that your photographs will be outstanding whatever the weather.
