Collections Policy

The Museum's Acquisitions and Disposal policy outlines what the musem service has in its collections and what it will collect, ensuring that the museums collect in line with national and international laws, treaties and conventions which effect museum collections.

The policy also outlines and the procedures for disposing of any items from the collections. This would always be a last resort and the council would act on the advice of professional curatorial staff.
