Library developments

We are introducing self-service facilities at four of our libraries during 2010. The libraries are:

The new self-service kiosks will mean that you will be able to issue, return and renew books for yourself. You simply scan your library card and place your books on the reader.

The self-service terminals offer a quicker and more convenient way for you to use the library. And with our staff being freed-up from standing behind counters, we will be much more accessible to assist you with other enquiries and to help you to select books.

We have already started work behind the scenes to get the libraries ready for the new kiosks, which will be installed from next spring. We will keep you up to date with any developments and you can also read more in future editions of Direct magazine.
