There are three strands to the new People’s Network online services. The aim is to let you access public library services wherever you are at any time of day or night.
'Enquire' allows public libraries from around the world to work together to answer any question, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You simply ask your question using the online form and you can chat to a librarian in real time using your computer. You will be directed to the answer or even sent useful web pages.
'Discover' allows you to search for information on the web yourself. You can also personalise the site so that it displays information and links that interest you. The site features news and general interest links as well as items from archives, museums and libraries.
'Read' lets you share books online. It also directs you to local reading groups and provides a wealth of book and reading related links.
