John Johnson Collection

This site contains scanned images of thousands of items from the John Johnson Collection of Printed Ephemera. It includes posters, handbills, pamphlets, prints and advertising material. It offers unique insights into the changing nature of life in Britain in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. It includes sections such as 19th-Century Entertainment, the Booktrade, Popular Prints, Crimes, Murders and Executions, and Advertising.

 

Click on the link to use the John Johnson Collection, then simply type in your library barcode and select North Lincolnshire Library and Information Services from the drop-down list.

 

Please note that if your barcode contains an X this should be typed in upper-case.
