Reference and Information Services

Reference and information enquiries are dealt with in all libraries across North Lincolnshire.

The main Reference and Information Library is located on the first floor of North Lincolnshire Central Library. It houses over 13,000 books and deals with over 30,000 enquiries every year.

As well as books covering every kind of subject from astronomy to zoology, there's a wide range of material in other formats, including:

  • Atlases
  • CD ROMs
  • Electoral registers
  • Newspapers and periodicals
  • Statistics
  • Telephone directories

Specialist resources are maintained for the following areas:

  • Business information
  • European information
  • Family history
  • Lifelong learning
  • Local studies
  • The People's Network - Public access to the internet

Whether you want to find the answer to a quiz question, need some information for a course, or are looking to expand your business, the library will be able to help. Experienced and helpful staff are always on hand to assist with your enquiries.
