Poetry

North Lincolnshire libraries have large collections of poetry (and books about poetry and poets) for adults and children.

From slim volumes of verse by the great poets of the past and those at the cutting edge of contemporary poetry, to the collected poems of all the major poets of the world and anthologies of verse on themes as diverse as war, landscape and childhood. North Lincolnshire Libraries have them all.

Remember to make the most of our resources and expertise. We have helped people who were:

  • Looking for a poem to mark a special occasion (a wedding, a birth or even Valentines Day).
  • Trying to find a copy of a poem they learned at school.
  • Studying English for GCSE, A level or Degree.

There is also a massive amount of information for poetry lovers available on the Web. To help people who might be new to this field we have selected a number of sites which we have found particularly useful and incorporated them into our Reader's Guide to the Internet.
