Readers' Festival

Our Readers' Festival was held at the Ropewalk in Barton on Saturday 25 October.

We arranged a fantastic line up of authors including:

  • Sophie Hannah - poet and novelist. Author of Little Face, Hurting Distance and The Point of Rescue
  • Karen Maitland - author of the acclaimed The Company of Liars.
  • Lionel Shriver - award winning journalist and author whose works include We need to talk about Kevin.
  • R J Ellory - author whose works include A quiet belief in angels and A simple act of violence.
  • Anne Zouroudi - mystery writer. Author of The messenger of Athens and The taint of Midas.

The day was compered by Jonathan Davidson.

There were also stalls, quizzes, prizes and sessions on bookbinding and making paper.

To see more photographs of the day visit our photo album.
